“Jully Black Live Experience” celebrates 30 years of musical excellence, cultural pride, and independent artistry across 13 Canadian cities

TORONTO, ON — As Canada marks Black History Month and prepares for Women’s History Month in March, one of the nation’s most enduring and celebrated voices is hitting the road. Jully Black, known as Canada’s Queen of R&B, has launched her highly anticipated 13-city “Jully Black Live Experience” national tour, running from February 11 to March 13, 2026.

A Legacy That Spans Decades

Jully Black first burst onto the scene in the 1990s and has remained a trailblazer for nearly 30 years. From her JUNO Award-winning breakout track “What It Takes” with Choclair to her recent 2026 JUNO nomination for “Who’s Driving You” featuring TOBi and Saukrates, Black continues to reinvent herself while staying rooted in cultural authenticity.

Her achievements include:

  • JUNO Award winner

  • Gemini Award winner

  • Canada’s Walk of Fame inductee

  • Named one of “The 25 Greatest Canadian Singers Ever”

A Tour with Purpose

Jully deliberately scheduled this tour during Black History Month and Women’s History Month to reflect and uplift the stories of Black Canadian women.

“These shows are not just concerts, they’re experiences,” says Black. Music. Stories. Laughter. Real talk. I want Canadians to remember that our stories matter. Our talent matters. Our culture matters.”

Each tour stop is designed as a healing and immersive celebration, featuring:

  • A full live band

  • Background singers

  • Moments of storytelling, joy, and cultural reflection

Global Influence, Local Roots

Over the years, Jully has shared the stage with global superstars like Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Elton John, Celine Dion, and Jesse Reyez, while also writing for Nas, Destiny’s Child, Sean Paul, and others.

Yet, her roots remain grounded in Canada, and her commitment to independent artistry and community support is stronger than ever.

“This is an independent tour. No big machine. No shortcuts. Just faith, work ethic, and community.”
