Mr. Cool Wraps Jamaica Trip With Three New Music Videos

Written by on October 1, 2026

Reggae singer, songwriter and producer Mr. Cool has returned to Canada after spending more than a month in Jamaica, where he filmed three music videos while continuing work around his latest single, “They Don’t Want Us To Know.”

Released August 17, 2026, on his You & I Productions label, the single places the Canadian-based Jamaican artist’s Rastafarian worldview at the centre of his current campaign. The Jamaica trip also produced visuals for “All Those Lies” and “Ibrahim Traore,” giving Mr. Cool three forthcoming videos to release over the coming months.

“They Don’t Want Us To Know” Explores Rastafarian Belief

On “They Don’t Want Us To Know,” Mr. Cool addresses biblical passages that he believes point to former Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I and questions why that interpretation is not more widely acknowledged within mainstream religious teaching.

The song presents Mr. Cool’s own Rastafarian perspective, continuing reggae’s longstanding connection with spiritual and cultural commentary.

Mr. Cool wrote and produced the single himself, maintaining creative control through his You & I Productions imprint.

Three Videos Filmed During Jamaica Visit

During the Jamaica trip, Mr. Cool filmed official videos for “They Don’t Want Us To Know,” “All Those Lies” and “Ibrahim Traore.”

All three videos were filmed by Maria Jackson 27 and are now in post-production. Rather than releasing them together, Mr. Cool plans to roll out the visuals individually over the coming months.

Scenes for “They Don’t Want Us To Know” were shot at House of Dread in Vineyard Town, a location with strong Rastafarian associations that connects directly with the subject of the song.

Canada and Jamaica Remain Central to the Campaign

Mr. Cool’s return to Canada does not end the Jamaican side of the campaign. He plans to return to the island before the end of the year for additional promotion and media appearances.

The schedule reflects the artist’s continuing connection between the two countries, with Canada serving as his home base while Jamaica remains central to his recording, visual work and cultural identity.

For now, “They Don’t Want Us To Know” is available on major digital streaming and download platforms, while its official video and the two additional Jamaica-shot visuals remain forthcoming.
