Bronner Bros. Names 2026 Beauty Icon Awards Honorees Celebrating Black Beauty

Lisa Price, Tokyo Stylez, Olamide Olowe, Cornell McBride Sr. and other industry leaders will be honored at the October 10 celebration in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Bronner Bros. has announced the honorees for its second annual Beauty Icon Awards, bringing together leaders in beauty, business, artistry, entrepreneurship and innovation for an October celebration in Atlanta.

The 2026 honorees include Tokyo Stylez, Lisa Price, Xia Charles, Derek Blanks, Olamide Olowe, Cornell McBride Sr. and Germaine Bolds-Leftridge. Spelman College’s Cosmetic Science Program will also be recognized.

Honoring Black Beauty’s Cultural and Economic Influence

The awards will return under the theme “Midnight Bloom,” recognizing the years of work, creativity and perseverance behind lasting influence.

“Black beauty has never been simply about how we look. It is innovation, entrepreneurship, artistry, identity and culture,” executive producer Kelly Keith said. “This year’s honorees represent people and institutions that didn’t simply participate in the beauty industry; they helped move it forward.”

Spelman Cosmetic Science Program to Be Recognized

The evening will recognize Spelman College’s Cosmetic Science Program, whose expansion created the first undergraduate cosmetic science program of its kind at an HBCU.

The recognition connects the awards’ focus on established industry figures with the growing role of science, research, product development and innovation in the beauty industry.

Student Summit Builds Pathways Into Beauty

Before the awards, approximately 400 students are expected to attend the VIVATRESS Student Summit at the Riverside EpiCenter. Programming will include education, career exposure, industry access and a Fantasy Braid Competition.

A “Beyond the Chair” conversation will feature Cliff Vmir, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart and Evan Nicole “The Hair Guruu” Williams discussing entrepreneurship, branding, social media and career pathways.

October Celebration in Atlanta

VIVACÉ by KISS returns as title partner for the awards. ORS will mark its 30th anniversary during the event, while Eco Style Styling Gel will also support the celebration.

The 2026 Bronner Bros. Beauty Icon Awards will take place October 10 at the Riverside EpiCenter in Atlanta.
