A Different World September 2026 cover connects Hillman’s legacy with a new generation

EBONY has brought together the new and legacy cast of A Different World for its September 2026 digital cover, connecting the enduring legacy of the landmark television series with a new generation of Hillman students.

The cover features new cast members Maleah Joi Moon, Chibuikem Uche, Cornell Young IV, Jordan Aaron Hall, Alijah Kai and Kennedi Reece alongside legacy stars Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer and Darryl M. Bell.

A New Generation at Hillman

The September cover places the incoming ensemble alongside performers closely associated with the original series, giving EBONY’s feature a bridge between the show’s history and its next chapter.

EBONY Media Group announced the cover through a September 21 release, with the accompanying digital-cover experience published by EBONY.

The feature arrives as A Different World continues its cultural connection to audiences who grew up with the original Hillman College stories while introducing a new group of characters.

Legacy Meets the Future

By pairing the new cast with Guy, Hardison, Summer and Bell, the cover centers continuity between generations rather than treating the new ensemble separately from the series’ history.

The September feature also gives readers an early look at the actors who will carry the Hillman story forward: Moon, Uche, Young, Hall, Kai and Reece.
