Nigerian Comedian Mr Dolor Sets 60-Hour Guinness World Record for Stand-Up Comedy

Written by on October 2, 2026

Delta State-born entertainer Kevwe Dolor, popularly known as Mr Dolor, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records after completing a 60-hour stand-up comedy performance in Lagos, Nigeria.

LAGOS, Nigeria — Nigerian comedian and entertainer Kevwe Dolor, popularly known as Mr Dolor, has earned a Guinness World Records title for the longest stand-up comedy show by an individual after performing for 60 hours in Lagos.

Guinness World Records lists Dolor as the record holder and records the achievement at exactly 60 hours, with the title achieved on February 27, 2025, in Lagos Island, Nigeria. The organization says Dolor surpassed the previous record time of 40 hours, 16 minutes and 48 seconds.

The official recognition turns an ambitious marathon comedy attempt into a confirmed international record for the Nigerian performer, whose submission to Vision Newspaper describes him as a comedian, actor, writer and content creator from Delta State.

From a 50-Hour Goal to a 60-Hour Record

Ahead of the attempt, Mr Dolor initially announced plans to perform for 50 hours. Nigerian media reported in January 2025 that the free marathon show was scheduled for Pepperoni Fast Food along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Ajah, Lagos, with Dolor seeking public support for the three-day effort.

British comedy publication Chortle reported before the event that Dolor had been preparing through fitness training and endurance walks. He told the publication that the longest show he had previously performed was four hours and described himself as a freestyle and spontaneous comedian capable of drawing material from subjects including politics and marriage.

The final result went beyond the originally publicized target. Guinness World Records now confirms a 60-hour performance and identifies Kevwe Dolor of Nigeria as the record holder.

A Nigerian Comedy Milestone

Dolor says his comedy is strongly influenced by Nigerian and Delta cultural experiences. His recognition adds a new international distinction to Nigeria’s comedy scene and places an African performer at the top of a Guinness category previously held at a substantially shorter duration.

The road to the record unfolded amid competition around the same Guinness title. In February 2025, another Nigerian comedian, Dr Laff Albert, publicly claimed to have completed a 50-hour performance. At the time, Guinness World Records told Chortle that its adjudicators had not attended that attempt and that evidence would need to be submitted for review.

Guinness’ current official record page, however, names Kevwe Dolor as the holder of the longest stand-up comedy show by an individual at 60 hours.

An Endurance Test Beyond the Stage

A marathon stand-up performance requires more than a long set of prepared material. Dolor’s pre-event comments emphasized the physical preparation involved as well as the challenge of sustaining comedy for several days.

His original plan was also tied to building his profile ahead of a planned tour. What began as a bid to establish a distinctive space for himself in Nigeria’s competitive comedy industry ultimately resulted in an officially recognized world record.

For African entertainment, the achievement provides another example of Nigerian performers using both traditional stages and record-setting events to reach audiences beyond the country’s borders.

Guinness Makes the Record Official

The most significant development is the formal Guinness World Records recognition. The official listing identifies the record holder as Kevwe Dolor, the location as Lagos Island, Nigeria, the achievement date as February 27, 2025, and the final duration as 60 hours.

The recognition confirms Mr Dolor’s place in the Guinness World Records database and establishes the 60-hour mark as the benchmark listed for the longest stand-up comedy show by an individual.
