Culture Creators and Dream Planet are searching for emerging hosts for a new original digital news series

LOS ANGELES — Culture Creators and Dream Planet have announced a new original digital news show focused on culture and entertainment, with an open casting call set for October 7 in Los Angeles to find the program’s on-camera talent.

The partnership brings together Culture Creators, the platform founded by Joi Brown to recognize and connect Black cultural leaders, and Dream Planet, a media company led by industry veteran Michael Mauldin.

The as-yet-untitled series is being developed as a fast-moving news and commentary program built around entertainment, music, fashion, sports and broader cultural conversations.

A New Platform for Culture and Entertainment

The show is designed to deliver timely coverage through a distinctly culture-focused lens, combining news, interviews, commentary and digital-first storytelling.

Culture Creators and Dream Planet said the project will create a platform for emerging voices while covering the people, moments and conversations influencing contemporary culture.

The collaboration extends Culture Creators’ work beyond its established events and recognition programs into original recurring media programming.

Casting Call Set for Los Angeles

An open casting call will be held October 7 at Dream Planet Studios in Los Angeles as the producers search for hosts and correspondents.

The companies are looking for emerging personalities with strong on-camera presence, cultural awareness and the ability to engage audiences across digital platforms.

The casting initiative is intended to discover new talent rather than limit the program to established television personalities, opening another route into entertainment media for aspiring hosts and commentators.

Culture Creators Expands Its Media Footprint

Founded by Joi Brown, Culture Creators has built a platform around celebrating Black cultural innovators and connecting leaders across entertainment, business and creative industries.

Its annual Innovators & Leaders Awards Brunch has become a signature event recognizing figures whose work has influenced Black culture and the entertainment industry.

The new show moves that mission into ongoing digital programming, giving Culture Creators another channel for covering the communities and industries it has long celebrated.

Dream Planet Brings Industry Experience

Dream Planet is led by Michael Mauldin, whose career in music and entertainment has included executive leadership, artist development and work across multiple areas of the industry.

Through the partnership, Dream Planet will bring production infrastructure and entertainment experience to the development of the series while Culture Creators contributes its cultural network and editorial perspective.

The October 7 casting call marks the next stage in developing the program and selecting the personalities who will become its public-facing voices.
