Marcia Griffiths Leads Reggae Ambassador Dinner & Dance Gala in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario — Jamaican reggae veteran Marcia Griffiths will headline the second Reggae Ambassador Dinner & Dance Gala in Niagara Falls on Saturday, October 10, extending a Thanksgiving long weekend of Jamaican music in Ontario.

Kings of Kings, in association with Plush Imperial, will stage the event at The Columbus Room, 6969 Stanley Avenue.

A Second Night in Ontario for Griffiths

The gala comes one night after Griffiths is scheduled to appear with Sister Nancy at Reggae Ambassadors in Concert at Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre.

The back-to-back bookings give Ontario audiences two different settings in which to see Griffiths: a concert programme in Toronto followed by a dinner-and-dance gala in Niagara Falls.

Reggae and Dancehall Lineup

Griffiths will be joined by Jah Mason, Angie Angel, Iley Dread, Mel Dube and King Fabulous. Several members of the Niagara Falls lineup also appear on the October 9 Toronto programme, carrying the Reggae Ambassador presentation into a second city.

The event is the second edition of the Reggae Ambassador Dinner & Dance Gala.

Thanksgiving Weekend Celebration

The gala falls during Canada’s Thanksgiving long weekend and is being presented as a night combining live Jamaican music with a formal dinner-and-dance setting.
