Navino and Jenelle Alexia Team Up Again on Motivational Single Gonna Be

The follow-up to their 2024 collaboration “Exclusive” carries a motivational message for young people as a new academic year begins in Jamaica.

Kingston, Jamaica — California-based Jamaican dancehall artist Navino has reunited with A’Legends CEO Jenelle Alexia for “Gonna Be,” a motivational single released September 4, 2026.

A’Legends Productions co-produced the track with SchemeYute Entertainment, with distribution through ONErpm.

A Follow-Up Collaboration

“Gonna Be” follows Navino and Alexia’s previous collaboration, “Exclusive,” which appeared on Alexia’s Bankx Riddim in 2024.

The new song is aimed particularly at younger listeners and was timed around the reopening of schools in Jamaica. Its message encourages listeners to develop their abilities, pursue legitimate goals and remain focused.

A Message to Young Listeners

“Dare to dream!” Alexia said in the release. “Build on whatever skill set, talent or knowledge you may have.”

“If you want to become an artist, do it,” Navino said. “If you want to sell clothes and shoes, do it. Just don’t do anything illegal or against God’s laws. Stay focused and true to yourself. Trust and believe. You’re ‘Gonna Be’ what you wanna be.”

Music With a Motivational Focus

Navino, whose given name is Ricardo Fraser, uses melodic vocals and direct lyrics to make the song accessible to younger listeners while keeping its message applicable to people of different ages.

“Gonna Be” is available on major digital platforms following its September 4 release.
